Contemporary Tropical Oasis: 7-Bedroom Residence with Wellness Integration

This architectural project presents a sophisticated two-story residence designed for a 17 x 11 meter irregular lot. The design masterfully combines high-density living with luxury lifestyle features, focusing on natural materials and a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Exterior Architectural Features

  • Modern Earth-Tone Palette: The facade utilizes a calming sage-green masonry paired with extensive horizontal wood plank cladding. This combination grounds the large structure, giving it an organic, contemporary tropical feel.

  • Dynamic Massing: The building features staggered volumes and prominent white concrete overhangs (topi-topi) above the windows. These provide essential shading from the tropical sun while adding a sharp, modern geometric rhythm to the elevation.

  • Traditional Roof Influence: A high-pitched hip roof with terracotta tiles ensures efficient rainwater runoff and natural attic ventilation, blending time-tested tropical wisdom with modern aesthetics.

  • Natural Stone Details: The driveway and entrance path are finished with irregular flagstone paving, enhancing the "resort-style" ambiance of the home.

Interior Spatial Organization

1st Floor: The Activity Hub The ground level is divided into two functional wings separated by a central hallway:

  • Living & Dining: A central open-plan area serves as the primary social zone, flowing directly from the front terrace to the dining space.

  • East Wing (Private): Contains three well-sized bedrooms, including two with private en-suite bathrooms, making it ideal for guests or elder family members.

  • West Wing (Service): A highly organized service area includes a garage, a compact kitchen, maid's quarters, and a dedicated laundry and storage zone.

2nd Floor: The Wellness & Private Retreat The upper level is dedicated to the family’s health and relaxation:

  • Fitness & Family: This floor features a large, dedicated Fitness Room and a spacious Family Room, encouraging an active and connected lifestyle.

  • Additional Sleeping Quarters: Four more bedrooms are situated on this level, supported by multiple bathrooms, bringing the total to seven bedrooms.

  • Architectural Void & Balcony: A central void over the staircase enhances the sense of volume, while a private balcony offers a serene outdoor vantage point overlooking the property.

The Contemporary Tropical Oasis is an ideal solution for large families seeking a home that balances private sanctuaries with expansive areas for wellness and social interaction.
